Silent Tears on Peshawar Attack

The stench of the bodies that are piled up to a heap,
The stink of blood that makes the air heavy,
The tears of the onlookers that dried up in fear,
The innocent lives that came to school to an unfortunate end.

Terror has swept in the city like hell,
The children who once giggled are nowhere to be heard,
The days and nights don't make a difference anymore,
Each moment is still, each moment is dead.

As the nation fights for justice and equality,
The innocent lives are the ones who fall victim,
The lives that turned martyrs in minutes of bloodshed,
That dreadful day in Peshawar that none would forget.

With such a heavy heart that weeps in silence,
I hope that this brutal act ends for good,
The world needs peace and each deserves the same,
Let us live in a place where our children are safe.
