Book Review of 'The One You Cannot Have' by Preeti Shenoy

I’m sure we have fallen in love at least once in life. Not all relationships end in marriages, some are sad stories too. The One You Cannot Have is a book that portrays the complex situation the heart deals with to overcome the depth of a love story that didn’t have a ‘happily ever after’ tag.

The book talks about a deep emotion that we could face in our lives. Today’s generation has an unstable approach towards love and commitment. When you dream about a future, it is seldom that we think in a practical way. The One You Cannot Have deals with such confusions that happen in our lives before and after marriage.

The story develops from three different perspectives that revolves around the same feeling – LOVE. It is a relationship guide that helps you realise heart breaks and other mental struggles in life. If this book was non-fiction, I wouldn’t have read it. Thanks to Preeti Shenoy for bringing in such a wonderful thought in the form of a novel! Looking forward to more books from the author that helps today’s youth to be better human beings, knowing how to handle situations in life that are inevitable.

If you’ve never fallen in love, I’m sorry this is not a book for you. But if you still remember and cherish that love you once enjoyed, this is for you. Grab it and relive those moments, learn to come of that syndrome bringing in a positive change in you!
